Heath pounds out 19-7 win over Lions

GREENVILLE -- The No. 1 state-ranked Rockwall-Heath Hawks
pounded out 19 runs on 23 hits to defeat the Greenville Lions
19-7 at John Mason Field Tuesday.
The Hawks remained undefeated at 27-0 for the season and 8-0
in district.
Greenville drops to 4-13 and 1-7.
The Hawks jumped out to a 10-0 lead before the Lions struck
for three runs in the bottom of the fifth.
Greenville scored four more runs in the bottom of the sixth
inning to counter Rockwall Heath’s four-run inning that
included a two-run homer from Jovan Hernandez.
Brad Ratliff and Blake Taylor both managed two hits to lead
the Lions. N.J. Mason, Jeff Prigmore, Rafael Sanchez and
Hayden Stuart also had hits for the Lions.
