Lady Lions fall to Rockwall in district basketball

Rockwall (girls) 68, Greenville 25
ROCKWALL -- Greenville’s Lady Lions wrapped up their regular
season on Tuesday night with a 68-25 district loss to No. 3
state-ranked Rockwall.
Peyton Adamson, the leading scorer in the Metroplex, pumped in
31 points as Rockwall completed District 10-4A play with a
14-0 record.
Alyssa Lang tossed in 12 points and Aimee Coleman added 11 for
the Lady Jackets, who improved to 31-4 for the season with
their second win over Greenville.
Olivia Carter tossed in 12 points for the Lady Lions and
freshman Mackenzie Cooper added eight.
Greenville, now 17-11, has clinched a playoff spot with its
8-6 record. The Lady Lions did not know on Tuesday night who
their playoff opponent will be or the bi-district playoff
date, time and site.
