Bulldogs take bite out of Lions, 75-61

GREENVILLE -- Mason Grimes pumped in 24 points, while Antonio
Arnold banked in 21 points to lead McKinney North’s Bulldogs
to a 75-61 victory over the Greenville Lions Tuesday night at
the Lions Den.
The Bulldogs also got 16 points from Alexander Riley.
The visitors led 25-20 after the first quarter. Then after
outscoring Greenville 15-13 in the second quarter, McKinney
North had a 40-33 halftime advantage over the Lions.
Devonte Green banked in 15 points for Greenville, while Byron
Mack tallied 14 points. Dijuon Sheppard pumped in 12 points
and N.J. Mason chipped in 10 for Greenville.
The Lions fall to 1-7 with the loss.
Greenville will play TCA at 4:30 pm. Thursday in the Wills
Point tournament.

21-12 McKinney North scoring advantage in the third quarter
pretty well iced the game for the Bulldogs.
“My kids played hard and I’m proud of them,” said Lions coach
Earl Claiborne also commented. “We came up a little short
because we ran up against a good team.”
