All District 10-4A basketball team announced

GREENVILLE -- Corey Bosworth, who averaged 10.5 points per
game in district play, earned second-team honors for the
Greenville Lions on the All-District 10-4A boys basketball
team.
Bosworth was the only Lion selected to either the first or
second teams.
Lions Devonte Green, Cal Crabtree and Alton Dennis made the
honorable mention list.
Royse City seniors Justin Jacobs and Stephen Edwards made the
first team and Bulldog senior Wynn Posey was selected to the
second team.
Newman Smith of Carrollton claimed most of the district’s top
honors. Newman Smith senior Amos Wilson captured the most
valuable player award. Newman Smith senior Blake Zamudio
shared the offensive player of the year award with Kyle
Sandlin of Rockwall. Newman Smith’s Percy Johnson was also
selected as the district’s coach of the year.
Highland Park senior Max Malone earned the defensive player of
the year award.
Top newcomer honors went to Demi Leonard of Rockwall-Heath and
Cole Holland of Richardson Pearce.
