West Mesquite beats Lady Lions in soccer

MESQUITE -- West Mesquite rallied from a 1-0 deficit to beat the Greenville Lady Lions 2-1 in non-district soccer on Friday night.

Ellen Robins put the Lady Lions up 1-0 with 24:23 left in the first half when she booted in a deflected corner kick.

West Mesquite scored 10 minutes later to send the two teams into halftime tied at 1-1.

West Mesquite took the lead for good in the second half with a goal off a corner kick.

West Mesquite also claimed the junior varsity match, 1-0.
