Royse City girls down Lady Lions

ROYSE CITY -- Royse City’s Lady Bulldogs defeated the Greenville Lady Lions for the third time this season.

This time it was 55-54 in favor of the Lady Bulldogs on Thursday night at Royse City High School.

Kellie Wyrick pumped in 12 points for Royse City, while Jennifer Null chipped in 11 and Raven Alexander banked in 10 for the winners.

Olivia Carter tallied a game-high 24 points for the Lady Lions. Rocio Medrano banked in 15 points and Jessica Franklin added eight for the Lady Lions, who also lost to Royse City 58-42 in the Winnsboro tournament and then 54-50 at Greenville on Dec. 19.

Royse City improved to 23-5 for the season and 8-2 in district play.

The Lady Lions dropped to 11-11 and 5-5.
