GREENVILLE -- After going 2-1 in a tournament this weekend in Carrollton, the Greenville Lions will make their 2009 home debut in soccer tonight against Prosper.

Scheduled game times are at 5:30 p.m. for the junior varsity and 7 p.m. for the varsity contests at T.A. “Cotton” Ford Stadium.

The Lions, coached for the second season by Jeff Crank, opened their season on Thursday with a 3-0 loss to South Grand Prairie in the opening game of the Carrollton Go To Goal Tournament.

They rebounded on Friday with a 3-1 win over Gainesville, collecting goals from Chris Mobley, Jonathan Arellano and Ryan Wilhelm.

Arellano and Mobley both scored as the Lions downed Mansfield 2-1 on Saturday to wrap up the tournament.
